Why can’t I register a recently expired domain name?

Although a domain may have expired, it is not immediately available for registration by the general public. Depending on the registry, the domain name will be kept on hold in a renewal grace period for several weeks. It is after the renewal grace period that the domain name will be released to the general public.

Contact us if your domain name has just recently expired and you wish to register it with Doteasy. We will try our best to provide you with registration/renewal assistance and options.
